Join us on September 23, 2016 for our 13th Semi-Annual FREE DENTAL DAY.

The team of dental professionals at Lake Texoma Dental Care & Wellness will provide adult patients with a free extraction or cleaning.  Along with Dr. Stephen McAnaney, there will be two Hygienist, a team of dental assistants, and others donating their time and resources, in order to provide free dental care to as many people as possible. This event will donate thousands of dollars in free dental care and provide a much needed relief for people throughout the community. Texoma Regional Blood Center will also be on hand for blood donations. With the help of You, and Texoma Regional Blood Center this event will continue to save lives in our community.  We urge everybody to stop by and donate a pint of blood.

Patients are asked to arrive early as the event is a first come, first serve basis. Event registration will begin at 7:00am and patients will be seen through 5:00pm. Patients are also encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, and to bring chairs, blankets, water, snacks, etc.

From 11:00am - 2:00 there will be free hot dogs and live music. Even if your not getting dental work done, you can still stop by, give blood, enjoy some live music, and have lunch with us.

Previous events have helped more than 250 people while providing approximately $60,000 in donated dental care. This outreach comes complete with improved smiles, relief from suffering and a warm sense of gratitude. The services provided not only help patients teeth and overall health; it gives them a renewed reason to smile.

Back to School with a Healthy Smile

August 5th, 2016

It's Back to School time, are your kids starting the school year off with a clean bill of health? According to the American Dental Association, a dental examination is as important as immunizations and booster shots and should be a regular part of back-to-school preparations. Statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say that tooth decay affects U.S. children more than any other chronic infectious disease and 19% of children ages 2 to 19 years old have untreated tooth decay. Dental pain or disease can lead to difficulty in learning as well as hours of missed school.

Here are some things you can do to Keep your child's teeth and gums healthy.

1. Regular dental examinations are recommended to diagnose, and treat or prevent dental problems. Fluoride treatment and Sealants are an inexpensive way to help prevent that nasty tooth decay.

2. Regular brushing with fluoride toothpaste and flossing is a must.

3. Eat healthy lunches and snacks, including grains, milk, cheese, raw vegetables, yogurt or fruit. Cut back on sugary foods and soft drinks.

4. Wearing a properly fitted mouth guard while participating in organized sports is a must if you want to avoid costly tooth repairs.

Follow these steps and you will instill, in you child, the importance of teeth and gum care. Your child's dental habits in the early years will set the pace for their dental health all the way in to adulthood.
